Omni is a very versatile shawl. It starts at the narrowest point and gets wider as you go. Crocheted in two repeatable sections, it’s the stitch pattern that makes this a gem of a shawl to make.

Herringbone half trebles create a flattened fabric that allows your yarn to go further and helps to create beautiful drape. The simplicity of the stitch pattern also means it looks great in variegated yarns with quick colour changes.

The real beauty is that it works as a one-skein shawl from laceweight all the way up to a worsted weight yarn, and everything in between. This is the perfect pattern for using up your hand-spun yarn.

Because the sections are repeatable, you can make your shawl even bigger by adding a second or even third skein. There’s even a clever little tab you add at the end, which helps keep your shawl around your neck. It really is the shawl that covers all the bases!
