Starting treble crochet (starting double crochet in the US) stitches are a great technique to have in your crochet skills kit! You will want to ditch turning chains forever once you know how to make starting stitches.

It is abbreviated to:

  • Starting tr in UK terminology
  • Starting dc in US terminology
