Metro Cowl can be made with a five colour or a three colour sequence. Crocheted in any DK weight yarn you could go scrap busting and make it fantastically colourful.
Metro is a fun take on the moquette fabric patterns that were used on buses, trains and tube seating back in the day. Crocheted in simple extended double crochet stitches, all the detail is in the colour changing sequence.
Worried about weaving in all those ends?
Don’t worry, there’s a sneaky way of adding new colours which means you don’t need to sew in all those ends!
The cowl is worked in a continuous spiral and finished off by adding a full 360° twist to the fabric tube before mattress stitching the two ends together.
The pattern will soon be available in UK & US crochet terminology as my own pattern.
